Reactivity of calcite/water interfaces
Within the project a basic understanding of processes with regard to the reactivity and dynamics of calcite mineral surfaces during crystal growth in aquatic systems will be developed.
RECAWA is one of 13 joint projects in the exploratory focus „Mineral Surfaces: From Atomic Processes to Geotechnology“ of GEOTECHNOLOGIEN, a geoscientific research and development programme which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and German Research Founation (DFG).
